Ya mama, Bergs and BoN *beer*

It took many years to transform me from that fresh-faced ne'er-so-good to the red-faced gammon I am today *wink2*

For Kim, the shirt is very tight on me now due to all the muscle I've put on over the years - Popeye, y'know *whistle* *whistle*  As for the jeans, at size 28", I'll let you decide *warn*

BoN - be careful what you wish for mate *ex*  If I posted a pic like that yer eyes will bleed. *warn* *warn*

Those scuttles bring back memories.  At a time when we burned everything on the old AGA and I built the front room fire so far up the chimney my mother used to worry I'd set it alight.  Filling the buggas was horrible, deep in the coal shed with all the slack, you'd be blowing black bogies for days (that was my job). *beer* *beer* *beer*

Not quite mate, but I did get a fence post when in a holiday cottage in Wales with an open fire.  Ended up setting the alarms off and gassing us both *smile*

TBH, I was a bit of a pyromaniac as a kid, not too different to now, I suppose *beer* *beer* *beer*

Worty me and MWAS were heavily into fires we had a massive back garden and part of a lorry back we called the tinder box where all sorts of stuff was burnt.  car tyres , engine oil the lot , back int day . i could get my yam 80 into 3rd gear before entering the back door *lol*,  pic of MWAS sorting the soil so dad could sit on his hard board and plant veg [ he was disabled ], and a pic in 1980 when i first started to re build betsy after the crank snapped.

Nice pics mate.

Us three, a box of matches, and a few crates of beer and there wouldn't be much left of Chesterfield (or our freedom) I reckon. *wink2* *wink2* *beer* *beer* *pull hair out*

As a kid I built a little mud-hut down the back corner of our garden in Sidcup. I got fixated with the ability to mould the mud into all sorts of smooth shapes and I made a little fireplace. Mainly so I could have a secret fag and blow the smoke up the 'chimly' thereby not getting caught. I must have been under ten. But one day the roof, which was a bedsheet, caught fire and I was found out, (not to mention getting more smoke in my lungs than I'd bargained for!) Much later I built a big muddie, and it hasn't burned down yet... though it's just a matter of time!

Angus,

Regarding Spain, I believe I've heard that intentionally breeding envy is some kind of sin. You are a cruel, cruel man. *grins* *yeah* *beer*

Nimrod,

Looking at your frame, I have a question. Is this, by chance, a frame that did not come from the factory in ‘55? I ask because I was expecting to see a tube through the frame and a boss on the left side where the bottom of the pillion loop attaches to the bend in the frame. This tube takes the brake pedal splndle for the rod-pull rear brake. Frames without this location for the brake pedal spindle use the hollow swing-arm spindle for the right-side cable-pull rear brake. If this becomes an issue for you, I know a guy who knows how to deal with it  *whistle* *red* *lol*

Yeah, after checking the number, that frame’s a ‘61, not a ‘55.

Thanks, thats interesting as it has a hollow spindle for the swing arm. I got the date off the registration documents. new to BSA and been busy stripping the triumph engine that I hope to fit. I haven't even looked at the frame and parts I bought yet, a lot to learn.lol
