A10 gearbox
« on: 05.10. 2015 09:37 »
Morning All,

I am currently giving my A10 gearbox a birthday (new bearings, oil seals etc)
Now the screw that retains the speedo drive should have a washer underneath it, should this washer be metal or fibre?

thanks

David

Hiyaho Davo-yeah? I never thought about that one, don't have one in mine,I figure it screws into the case, so not likely to leak(much) but it seems S/a boxes from '54 have one; p#67-1709, I guess for functionality, you could make it whatever you want but otherwise for ridgy-didge do a web-search- first listing I got says it's alloy *conf*, good luck...

I reckon the folks'd get a kick out of an introductory speil *welcome*
Started building in about 1977/8 a on average '52 A10 -built from bits 'n pieces never resto intended -maybe 'personalised'
Have a '74 850T Moto Guzzi since '92-best thing I ever bought doesn't need a kickstart 'cos it bump starts sooooooooo(mostly) easy

No washers under mine and they don't leak. Well, not from there!
