Before I go look it up (since there appears to be too few stripes) I'd say 10 ohms @ 5% tolerance.

Back in a second.

OK, back again. Had some fun with it. I don't think you'd see this particular coding, but it looks like "10" with an 0.1 multiplier for 1 ohm at 20% tolerance (when there is no tolerance stripe). So, chanting in unison yields one big Om.

Sorry for acting nuts about this, but I first started reading color codes when I was about 10, so it still amuses me.

I was going to avoid (resist) it since the colours aren't clear, but made some up and came up with 448 Ω +/- 1% using trusty Electrodroid *smile*

Dutch,

Since we're having fun with it, I'd say you're mistaking shading on the end bulge for a couple of yellows.  Remember, this is of critical importance. *smile*

Erling is thinking, "Man, I'm so sorry I tried to make a little joke."

Bill, no need to debate here, because resistance is futile. In any case, I see brown-black-gold (gold being the 0.1 multiplier in position 3).

 Weird.

I am an Industrial Electrician. I work on VFDs, PLCs, and IGBTs (and a bunch of other alphabet stuff) and never even bothered to look at the color code, much less try to figure out the value.

 What does this mean? *conf2*

It means you are sensible and smart and have your priorities in order, unlike some people I know. Of course, that presumes I know myself.
