Wanted A7 66mm +30 piston rings
« on: 29.07. 2015 15:48 »
My 52 A7 barrels are +20 and needs a re-bore, I have some good +30 pistons so need +30 piston rings for both pistons, I have looked on the web and can only find +20 and +40, does anyone have any for sale, or know where I can order +30's. Hope someone can help, Larry

Although it may be considered to be bad practice, I had a similar situation with a pre unit T100, where I had a rebore to suit +30 pistons. In the end I fitted +40 rings suitably re gapped, and the bike has run perfectly well for 3000 miles.

Yes, I think that you will have to use +40 rings. I am pretty sure +30 pistons and rings have been unavailable for quite some time because they are no longer made. For what reason I do not know.
