Yes, they tend to do that with aging. I understand they grow back to original size if the bike is pushed 15 miles, or so, every week. *smile*

That doesn't sound so good.

I must admit, Mrs B and I are not a good fit on an A10 seat anymore. I shouldn't want to travel far with her behind (err, hmmmm).

Trust you to notice that Musky .My right knee won't work except in a straight line so I kick her over ( the bike that is ) on the stand then roll the bike forward and sue clambers aboard, for some reason that time as soon as the bike started she got on and I'd just about had the leverage to move the bike forward !Still got there in the end . Sorry to hear about the wifes hip ,joints are a bloody pain in more ways than one I'm getting my knee checked out in a couple of weeks ,we'll see what can be done as I can't walk more than a hundred yards without it letting me know it's knackered. me too Bob and  sorry to here your wife's hip still playing up Musky, I go to get my knee assessed by a physio next month but my Doc says knee replacement are troublesome with infections and me having a metal valve in me pump is an added concern so it's painkillers for now anyway (could be they are short of cash maybe  *sad2*)

Glad to have a girlfriend, she do everthing riding the pillion. A trip to IOM and back with full lugage. Hull, Yorkshire Dales, Heyham only smal open roads with non or little traffic. No hard word and she enjoy the tire shreddling with me *grins*
A sunday trip is most about 130-150 miles, ok after this the butt is a little sore for half an hour. *eek*

Cheers Klaus

So, are knackered right knees chronic amongst vintage bike owners? Mine is sometimes trick, but gets better with time.

Oh boys, don't take care about how to start your bike. Dont waste money for the physios, safe it and spend it in an electric start like this:

It will simplify your live with BSA and may be with our wife *smile*

cheers Klaus

I have quite a few creaky joints. The most painful at the moment is my left ankle but the other one and both knees are also in need of grease nipples. My thumb joints were the first to become painful, when I was in my 40's. I put that down to the years I was a motor/motorcycle mechanic and used my hands as tools.

Trade in the missus for a young Russian bride who will kick start your bike for you. Am I allowed to suggest that here?
