Hi all *smile*
My name is Klaus coming at the middle of Germany near Frankfurt. It may be 10 years ago, I lost my hart to a Goldstar. Some years later, I had a look at a A10 SR. Just finished my last projekt with an Spitfire Scrambler (look alike).
I also do racing with a Goldstar and an A10 as well. Before register at this forum, I read some topic, and now I deside to sign in.
I am sorry about my humpy english, but I do my best.

Klaus

G'day Klaus,  *welcome*
Sounds like you know your way around a BSA then. You'll have to excite us with a few photos.
Your English is better than some of the English here  *whistle*.

Very nice Klaus. The alloy rear hub on the scrambler saves a bit of weight, nice job.
Wow the racer looks like it's doing 100mph just sitting there. I could only dream of a front brake like that when I was racing my A7SS. Alloy barrels, or just painted to fool us?
Cheers

Fun. So we are looking at an aluminum barrel casting on the café racer, correct?

Yes, restrictions to avoid anyone posting some 7 x 5 meters large picture, and then someone with slow internet\dial up needing 20 minutes to download\see it :O) Just resize as needed. Info in http://www.a7a10.net/forum/index.php?board=15.0 (anything from free Windows Paint to $$$ Photoshop can resize).

This barrel is not an alloy, it is metalcoated, an I've never seen an other one like this.
Oh I think about to cast  alloy barrels, the mould and the cast was not the problem. How to fit the camfollowers? Like those from the A65?
It's to much work, and it does't pay,or it has been a batch of 15-20 barrels.

The current engine is an optimised SR Motor with single carb. Everything is lightend, converting to single valvesprings, alloy pushrods,
camfollowers reduce to 41 gramms, Cam is a reground 357. I gues the best is, it will shown by pictures. Gearbox is 5speed Nova, but I think about an six speed TTI the same as to the Goldy.

The frame is an B31 and the bike is 139kg, Ceriani frontfork and a Robinson double twin leading frontbrake.
I think the bike scratch 120 miles with an excelent handling. At some racetraks I am faster as with the Goldy.

I build up a new racer, with an A10 OIF, twin carbs, with 73mm bore, steelconrods, Megacycle cam and so on.
Most of them is ready to fit, still hope I find some horses more.

I found actionpictures at facebock, hope it runs. I am not the PC expert

Hi Muskart,

it's  no wasted time, when remember the feelings ;)

After a strocke 6 years ago, I deside to take part at this cirkus, now or never.  *grins*

It's a great satisfaction showing modern Bikes up to 1978, the pipe. Most times I start first three lines at the grid.

I will share my expirience collekted on the racetrak at this forum to get a durable, powerfull engine with simple tricks and not expensiv.

Am very jealous of the 5 speed, Helps keep it on the boil.
And 40 PS is nothing to be sneezed at either. Well done and welcome!
Good to have another A10 racer on the forum
