new member new bike
« on: 13.06. 2015 10:42 »
Hi all on this forum, I've been following this forum for some time now checking various bits of info for my bikes, and have found it to be a melting pot of good information and tips. So I thought it only proper to post some photo's of my recent bike. sorry there is not much in the way of post build or build photo's, I'll put more effort in for the next one. I bought this 62 super rocket about 3 years ago as a basket case then spent a few years finding the missing bits and bobs. The actual build took 6 to 7 months, and lots of spare cash, and lots of days, and nights and then more time. I'm over the moon with the finished bike and it rides like a dream.

Cheers Thomas

Hi Thomas,

That looks like one smart bike.  Nice job you've made of it and I hope that you get many miles of enjoyment with it.

I had to giggle when you said you were "over the moon" with it. After all it is a "Super ROCKET".

From here it looks like a new one.. *wink2*.wonder how long before anyone heckles about the front brake arm angle...  *shh*...have to still be better than a SLS.
I used to like riding my Rocket, seemed looser and much different to the Plunger (which I love riding), but I put it down partly to the handlebar mounting position...
 *welcome*
