STB gearbox ratios

Hi All.  My genuine Ex USA Rocket Gold Star has a gearbox that's stamped 'STB'  I understand that this was used on bikes that were originally supplied to the States, Do any of our American users have any knowledge of what the ratios are for this box? Any information much appreciated.  Regards, Peter

Hi Peter, go on Draganflys web site and download there parts info I'm pretty sure it shows cogs etc. I thought that RGS's originally had an RRT close ratio box  and is the stamp STD meaning standard . Some riders didn't like the higher first gear in the RRT and changed the box to standard , there are many RGS owners on the forum they'll soon get you the answer,regards bob.

Hi John. Thanks for the info however there is no mention of an 'STB' stamping.  I think it was possible that the RGS's sent to Hap Alzina   had the STB set-up. Some idea of the ratios within would be nice. The chap who sold me the bike claimed it was purely a mis-stamping and should be STD for standard. Any ideas anyone?  Thanks in anticipation. Peter

                        the STB box, I think you will find, is also known as the STD2.
Good for wheel stands but not much else.
This box was fitted mostly to U.S. market Super Rockets.
The Gold Star Twin, U.S. market RGS, was usually fitted with the ARR2 box.

 Am guessing you should get a fair idea how it feels when you ride it, but only way to know for sure is to pull it apart...reasonable thing to do with a new acquisition anyway..
