Modified BSA. Ariel is different in shape and the covers are held with a single centre bolt.

Looks like a useful modification. I assume an oil tank/primary case filler cap fits the hole.

There's one listed on UK EBay at present, not really sure how much help modification would make, seems another source of potential leak.

might be all right on a plunger model as no head steady on top to interfere with but can't see it fitting a swingarm bike

I think that this is a Ariel Huntmaster rocker box, Ive been looking for one of these to put on my A 10 It makes it so much easier to get the rods in.

The Huntmaster rocker box covers are held by a single central bolt. They do have the access hole in the top though so I think someone has thought to add that handy feature to an A10, (Plunger?) rocker box.

Greybeard.
Not sure about that one. I have just put a Huntmaster head on my A10 plunger and it has the normal five studs that hold it in place the same as the A10, so I have the A10 rocker box on the Huntmaster head, being the same shape as the A10 plunger head, with the short carb intake.

Greybeard.

Okay, got you, I suppose they would be okay if you had those covers with the HM rocker box but the one advertised is a BSA with a modification, just to make it easy.
