New to BSA, new to A7, forum looks great...

Hi All, newby to BSA...A7 plunger 'long stroke' 1950 looking at the engine number and frame number. Was whole when purchased I believe last running in 2010, appears to be about 95% complete, engine not very well (crank appears to be locked up). All stripped down, refurb, rebuild, replace....rear mudguard has been filled and welded a lot over time, looking a sorry state now the paints been stripped off.
Aim is to have the A7 as near to standard, not immaculate, but useable.

 First 'old' British bike, many, many, many Japanese, one Indian Enfield, two Harley's, one Ducati, one Gilera, two 'New' Triumphs, I have probably forgotten some, three BMW's...BMW R1150GS and  BMW S1000RR keeping the BSA company. I will upload some pics soon.

That was my aim when I started to work on my '55 Plunger. You may find, as I did, that as you work on the bike you cannot help but want to do the best job you can. You end up with a very good machine and an empty bank account!

It is great that yours is really complete finding all the parts is quite a goose chase as im learning with my 49..Welcome to the forum would love to see some pics..

He's right; I was a bit sad to have finished working on mine. It's almost a pleasure to have something to fix!

My sister and her hubby always have a garage full of vintage vehicles in various states of restoration. I know my sister enjoys the work more than the driving.
