I see for our american colleagues that there's a slightly sad looking big jnl, transitional crank on fleabay, doesnt have a removeable flywheel and isnt going to flex or whip ever!
These make for a very smooth twin although are marginally less revvy than the later lighter well documented big journal cranks.

A good rider periodically checks all nuts and bolts with a spanner to see that they are tight - Instruction Manual for BSA B series, p46, para 2.
