Welcome,

Would you mind posting a bit of an introduction under Bikes, Pictures & Members?

That barrel would look good on my '52 Daytona A7. I want to buy it.

People always want to put a value on everything but the truth is that it's only worth as much as somebody will pay for it.   I've taken apart complete running A10 engines that have so much abuse and are comprised of such a poor selection of parts that they are almost worthless.

With the years of abuse that BSA engines take, particularly cylinders, a wise person will strip an engine and inspect the cylinder before paying good money for it. Any A10 cylinder that  has an overbore of .060 or larger and needs a re-bore is essentially scrap as it often costs as much to sleeve it as to buy another cylinder.  With each over bore the value of  a cylinder drops.

Looks like these barrels have a thin flange. This is what thick flanged barrels look like:

But there was also a 6 fined barrel. Are there two differnt 6 fin barrels at the daytona market?
Normal A7 have 7 fins.
Enlight me *smile*
