I guess I'm a little more demonstrative. Besides not having tax disks here in the U.S. (I suppose I could get one), it's pretty hard to display your affiliation with the forum and passion for the marque with a tag that sits on your bike when it's parked in the garage, or in the parking lot of the bar you are in, or jumble or meet you are attending. Much of this started because Greybeard wanted a way to identify himself, and to idntify others, as being in the forum. I like t-shirts. I were them a lot. I also like my leather jacket and would put a patch there, but I don't want to wear the jacket when the weather is perfect for riding in a t-shirt and I don't want a patch on my jacket when I'm not out for motorcycle reasons (hmmm, a person could have two jackets, I suppose). Edit: Another note about jackets with patches: It was about 105 deg. F at the last major swap meet I was at.
My point is, at this point, why would we be taking a completely different turn? Stickers and patches are fine, maybe there could be a whole assortment of "Forum Wear", however, even though several (a word I associate with somewhere around eight) members have expressed interest in having a t-shirt, we have not settled on a design and, based on how few chime in, I am wondering if we could get even thirty members who would buy them. I think some members don't want to read long posts like this one or are sick of the topic. The poll we really need is one that hits the email boxes of 800+ members and asks if they are interested in a t-shirt (or whatever) and only Admin has that kind of broadcasting authority.
End-O-Rant.
