Hello Wardleybob

I have now decided to return the clutch I just bought and start again.

I have just googled JD restorations Cumbria, but they are building firms or Jaguar restorations. Can you give me a bit more info on them please.

John, I cant measure how far the shaft protrudes as the adaptor will not go on far enough. I bought a measuring gauge and discovered the taper on the adapter is smaller than the taper on my shaft. I like the idea of thread lock so when I get a clutch that fits I will do that instead of the lock washer.

I have returned non fitting clutch and now looking at a dearer clutch conversion from SRM in UK. I have sent them my measurements and await their assurance that it will fit.

I look forward to seeing your fitting guide when you have finalised it John

Alan,

I've resolved that you are in the UK, so, were I giving my measurements to my UK supplier, I suppose it would be 101 Relaxed Fit. *smile* *whistle* (Uuh, the joke is about pants, gents. Get your minds out of the gutter.)
