Hi, you don't say what year your bike is? If I remember correctly its a regulator box not a rectifier.

The A7 does not have a rectifier but has a regulator  with 4 terminals with letters  F. A. D. E.  The F terminal  wire which should be green goes to the F terminal on the dynamo. The A terminal wire which should be purple goes to the negative side of the ammeter. The D terminal wire which should be yellow goes to the D terminal on the dynamo. The E terminal goes to a suitable earth point on the frame.

G'day tailguncharlie *welcome*.
clor6 is correct unless you have an alternator model. The reg is wired FADE = field, ammeter, dynamo, earth. The dynamo will have the poles marked F & D.
