A new Dutch member
« on: 15.10. 2014 21:56 »
Hallo, my name is Sieds and I live in the North of Holland, Friesland.
In Friesland we have many lakes and I love sailing with my old sailing boat.
I’m a little older so it’s 40 years ago I learned English writing and reading.
With a translator on my PC  I will succeed  ;)
The last 10 years I had classic bikes, Honda CX 650C 1983 and we have nice weekends in Holland and Germany, also with English members
But the most of my time I ride on my Yamaha Dragster 1100, I sold it a view month ago.
My wish was always a Motorcycle before 1940 for driving with the Veteran Motor club.
So I found a very nice restored BSA W34/7 of 1934 and drive this summer with the VMC.
This year I became member of the BSA OC Holland and the most bikes there where post war BSA’s.
I was 3 days in Belgium at the summer camp and met very  nice people of many countries.
So I need a faster BSA for the BSA OC club and found a A10 of 1954 in Germany and pick it up next month.
I also found this forum but it is a little difficult to understand, good for me to practise.  *smiley4*
May be I see you next year in Denmark, 8-15 Aug. 2015 International BSA Rally  Vejen

Howdy Sieds, welcome along- so you're a biking Viking!  Is that a selfie or a mirror-bomb? (spellchecker suggested 'bong', but we won't go there)... or both, or a picture of some random papparazzi taking photos. ....? Nice looking boat, should help you take in a nice bit of pillage , and I saw the piccie of the single too, also looks good.
I'm not Dutch, in any manner or form other than name, which is partly why I use lower case. .....Happy translating, duTch  *eek*

I'd like to see a picture of your boat. I presume it's not the one in your avatar.

Welcome.

I rode through Friesland just a couple of years ago on my Sportster and was very taken with the place. I used the ferry from Harwich to Esbjerg and then rode back round to Calais. Sadly that ferry route has just been discontinued.

Have you added that boat picture cos it wasn't there earlier and yet duTch refers to it? Strange.
