And a Pommy Ford at that. Poor man's Zephyr.

My father bought his new in 1958. He later gave it to me. Lovely car. Here is a similar car.

I liked the mark 2 Zephyr/Zodiac. Nice shape and plenty of power compared to our local GM Holden. I thought that the Consul was a bit under powered, being a fairly large car with a 4 cylinder engine.

Hallo Morris,
I don’t know Jacob and Hennie because I am new for BSA OC Holland.
I was three days in Jabbeke on the summer camp, may be you was there.
I had also 30 years a Morris 12 Saloon of 1938
Hi Sieds,
Jacob and Hennie are based in the south of Friesland so shouldn't be that far from you. I regularly order parts from them. They have a huge stock of good quality parts.

They were in Jabbeke, and so was I. Had a really nice time there with forum member Beezageezauk. Next time you and I also must meet up for a beer.
Nice car that Morris 12. I find it interesting that, like BSA once was the world's biggest motorcycle manufacturer, Morris once was the world's biggest car manufacturer, and both went down in an almost similar manner...

He Morris,
Ah, I know Jacob and Hennie de Groot, they live 30 km from here.
He has no parts of my W34/7, it’s to old he told me  ;)
I met them on a parts fair in Hardenberg, but for the A10 he has many parts.
So I think we were in the same black box in Jabbeke and I drove with the group to the coast with my W34/7
Next year to Vejle DK, I see you their?
Not only Morris was gone, also MG. In the 70’s I had also an open MG VA of ’38, beautiful car.
England had a rich history of cars and motorcycles

Still even worse Pim, a Dutchman with a Frisian accent  ;)
Do you know how many Dutch there are on these forum?
Are you member of the Dutch BSA OC?
The last 3,5 years I lived also in the province Overijssel, in Staphorst.
Near Staphorst, Veningen was the Stork ride out of the BSA OC, was you there?
Regards from Grou
Sieds

Pim, do you know http://www.jvmotors.nl/c-2237018/motoren-en-bromfietsen/ Joost Voeten from Zwartsluis?
I bought my BSA from Joost, a very friendly boy and he can delivery many parts.

Hi Sieds,
I really like your W34.
I thought the side valves were mainly used for sidecars.
what is it like to ride?
.. and what is an 'S.B. Waltzing Mathilde'?
Over here it means you're on the wallaby.
cheers

Hey Sieds,

I don't know any figures, but morris told me we're slowly taking over the forums:)
so it's good to have a viking on our side!

I haven't heard nor been to the shop you mention. But am sure to check it out when I'm in the neighberhood.
It's always good to have multiple parts sources.
To this day I only visited de groot bsa, and pieter in Berkel en Roderijs. I'm no big fan of the latter though.
When i get my drivers licence i'll think about joining the bsa oc. I wasn't attending the ride as it would be highly illegal :) de to my lack of licence:D

@He Olev, I'm glad with my W34/7, is drives very well and fast 60 km *smile* Nice to switch the gearbox by hand.

@He Topdad, I enjoy the forum and I can translate it by Google, so it’s now easier to read  ;)

@He Pim, the BSA OC in Holland is a nice group, so get your driving license so we can ride!

Don't let him scare you off Pim. He can be a bit weird and/or grumpy at times, but he's honest as gold. Last time I went to his shop for some parts, he added a gearbox gasket set for free.

Hey Morris, maybe I was a bit quick to judge.

I got the idea that he rather didn't want to sell because it were his parts and he didn't want to part with them...(pun intended)
And he was also pricier than De Groot, so that didn't help either:)

But the amount of shops aren't overwhelming so you got a point, Thanks:)
