I had a look at my hoard, Wozza, but no decent bodies at your size. I've got a complete 376/80 but it is earmarked.
These bodies are BSA specials, I think, as there is no thread on the inlet side for a bell or air cleaner. I think that probably your bike would have had a 376/1 originally, the 376/80 was fitted in 1958.
Maybe you should send your carby for a bore and sleeved slide. I have had a few done with good results.
I went to a swap on Sunday and didn't bother with carby bodies, if I had known .....

Your right again Trev...  it has no thread on the inlet side..
I thought because it has the rubber connector between it & the air filter #42-4582
I've been running a pod filter on it since the rebuild anyway.
Thanks for looking..  *beer*

I've straightened the bore lots of times. Using a ball peen hammer in a vice.

I've purchased a new slide as the old one has worn paper thin on one side,
but it will not slide in the bore, it will only go down with MUCH force.
I tried to straighten it re bolts through the holes & vice method mentioned previously,
BUT the new slide still sticks badly, so I put the old slide back in & can at least ride it.

I'm keeping my eyes open for any 376 body 1 1/16" with or without the thread on the intake side.

I'm not keen to taking to it with a ball peen hammer, my luck I'd knacker it 4 sure..    *bash*

Thanks for your suggestion...  but no thats not the problem Wilco mate..
I had a valve bind up in a guide a couple of weeks ago, it bent the valve..
I had that replaced & the guides re honed, put it all back together & everything was fine
when I rode it last... I fired it up next day to show someone, 1st or 2 kicks & she started,
I shut her down after a minute or 2...   Later that day I wanted to go for a ride, started ok,
warmed it up, & it started to misfire, checked plugs, points, fuel, & compression test all's ok..
now it wont start & back fires when kicked over... ( I think the maggy's playing games... )
I've not been able to trace whats going on so will start retracing my steps & pulling her apart next week.    *problem*   If I cant work it out watch the FOR SALE section.   *pull hair out*   *shh*
