I have a new home
« on: 23.08. 2014 19:24 »
Hello, one of the things in a will was ME, I am old so my memory is not as good as it once was but I think I was born around 1962. I have numbers all over that might help you remind me with who or what I am. On my hart is DA10 R 7431 annd on my frame is GA10 345. I also have this little gear box thing that has ASC T on it. My front and rear hubs are the narrow 1/2 hub style. I think at some point someone welded a bracket on each side of me so that if I wanted to I could carry 2 people and the back person had a place to put HER feet and the reason I think this is that one is about 3/8" lower than the other and the welds arn't as nice as my others. I think I will be happy in my new home because this guy I am with now raced Brit singles back in the 60s. He also worked as a grunt in the cycle shop where I may have been un-crated. Ihave some company when Roger is not around, a 78 BMW, 3 little trils bikes, a couple tote gotes  and a couple little japanese thing that I plan to stay clear of.
I'm sure Roger will be on here off and on looking for parts and trying to make me look and feel young again. That reminds me I realy need the lower clamp that holds my left foot peg on.

        Rogers new friend

That means that you are a Rocket Gold Star.

Then the A10 will be afraid  *smile* , may need comforting words about not being raced.

Your owner, while obviously fond of you, apparently suffers from obsessive anthropomorphisation disorder. ;) *smile*

I have no clue what anthropomorphisation disorder is but it doesnt sound good. Any hope in finding a cure? 10gf, no pics, but  I am leaving in a couple days for the first leg of an upland bird hunting trip. When I get back  around mid October I will try to figure out how to do that.
No serious work has started on the old girl, just some cleaning and a little evaluation. Compression seems low to me so  the first order of serious business might be to rebuild the top end.

Just having fun Roger. After all, you threw the door open and there are only so many chances in life to use a word like "anthropomorphisation". We all do it every time we call, her "her", the bike that is, not the wife.  I only imagined that it could be a "disorder".

Now on another subject, a six week bird hunt? I hope you come back with Rodan.   *smile*

By the way, welcome! Looking forward to the photos. Some of the most interesting are the ones that show what went wrong.

hi guys, had to look that one up Richard. ( anthropomorphism refers to the perception of a divine being or beings in human form, or the recognition of human qualities in these beings) cheers

Still fun, but feeling guilty for not being in a "Chat" topic. Webster #2: "ascribing human characteristics to nonhuman things". Close enough for me.

While I'm here, hey, how about them BSA A7's and A10's? Them girls are beauts!
