Sell My RGS
« on: 03.06. 2014 14:15 »
Genuine 1963 RGS going up for sale (reluctantly).  Matching numbers.  Original and new logbooks.  Copy of BSA works records from VMCC; 13 June 1963.  Copy of original registration from County Records; 21 June 1963.  31,800 miles.  Serious offers considered.  Based in Herefordshire.  I now have to use machine with electric starter but still riding!

If you are selling your RGS reluctantly, then before you commit yourself irrevocably why don't you fit one of these?   http://www.startyourbsa.com/   This conversion is so well executed that with the exception of a starter push button mounted on the handle bar you would have a hard job to detect that the conversion has been done! Also see the starter being demonstrated here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuvKy9l75u4

Thanks for the info.  Looked at the videos. My thoughts on it were doesn't it look spooky and unreal!  But what a brilliant conversion!  However I won't be going down that route but ta anyway.  Its too original to do and bike is for sale.

Thank you I just looked at that bike.  35,000 $ asking price 2 nz$ to £.  Which puts my asking price exactly the same.  Advert says there are 2 more in the World for sale, 1 at £20,000 and the other at £22,000; both renovated; although it is suggested that an unrestored one like mine is worth more than a restored one.  It will always appreciate in value.

I have taken one hour so far trying to reduce a picture of my bike from 3.48 MB to the required 800 kb.  My computer suggested using Paint but I can't fathom it.  Can anyone help?

I'll try and explain it.

Select the picture you want to alter and right click on it and from the drop down list click on "open with".

You will get another drop down list and on this one select "paint"

The image will then open in the paint program.

At the top left of your screen you will see the word "image", click on that, then select "resize" from that.

A box will appear. I've added a pic of the box that will come up.

In the top two boxes that say resize replace the 100% with about 75%. It depends on the size of your original image just how much you will need to reduce the image so you may have to have a couple of goes.

I would recommend copying the original image and resizing the copy so you dont loose your original image.
