my other form of transport is a Toyota Land Cruiser. I've just rebuilt the top end of the engine and its not been easy. I got stuck a few times and joined a similar forum to this one (it looks the same anyway) in the hope I could get some answers....some hope, not a dicky bird....

It resonated with me what a great forum this is. Any questions, problems and generally anything I've asked about my 1954 A10 has been answered quickly and accurately and always with pleasure. It made putting my bike which was a box of bits a pleasure to put back together and is probably why its back together,
thank you all!

It is a great place this. I can't understand the attitude of a lot of other forums members have. I think we all here just love our bikes and know other members love theirs just as much. It costs nothing to answer a ? and hope the answer saves the inquirer time & $.

Thanks, appreciated (on behalf of all the good people here helping other good people!).

btw I got a Land Cruiser, LC120 (Prado) but can't provide any help, as nothing broken (yet) so haven't needed to learn anything about it. Can't say the same about the A10 :O)   ..but if my LC was 70 years old I'd probably learn a lot !

Good on yea Guy, dunno that I was of any help, but thanks in case......maybe we could all go buy Cruisers, and then join that forum so we can help.... *conf*

I have an old Hilux that I bought about 15 years ago off the original owner who had added different wheels and changed it from a Style-side to trayback, and though it only went underwater on Frazer (Island) a few times, apart from reconstructing half the cab, replace the rusty chassis with a bent one, swapped drive train and another radiator and engine in- it's fairly original....!

had to buy a Manual though, to rebuild the front hubs... *whistle*...so if yea need a hand, just holler...!!

And posts like this makes it worth the work of maintaining the forum.

Bob,

I see where "Skip" can be a nickname for an Aussie, but I didn't know it at the time and I don't see anything saying it is offensive. Isn't that right, Skip? (You know who I'm talking to.)

Oh, and by the way, it is almost redundant to say what a great job e does in keeping this place together. Agree, completely: Info, humor, good friends.

I don't mind being labeled a Skip. As long as it's not the "skip" bin at building sites.
Richard is now called Blue as in Brothers. *smile*.

No Morris, had to look though-same colour and vintage, but that one's far too flash- and mine's an 'Extra-Cab'....d'ya reckon they'd have any spares..??.. like a steering wheel, mine has a worn out spot at 1 o'clock..?
