G'day LexDex, *welcome*.
Good fun at the Creek. I had many a good race there in the 90's on my '57 A7SS.
Now to see if we can organize a match up with RocketRacer and his Bender from NZ  *fight*.
Good luck with it mate.
Cheers

Hi Muskrat - I loved Eastern Creek only trouble is main  straight right thru to turn 2 is full song  - a bit hard on the old motors. Bloody brilliant track though and nice people.
Hey Graybeard - no flat deck just welded up for racing.

Yes I always said it would be better going the other way round. Most of my blow ups were just before or through turn 1 at over 200KPH  *eek*.
" what's that rattle? Oh it's the head hitting the bottom of the tank"
Like the '47. Asian front end?
Cheers

I am a traditionalist but I must say I like that machine.

Yes a long way from a true BSA but I had fun building it and it is heaps of fun to ride. Front end cb350 Honda and rear hub same. Frame was a plunger converted to rigid. Tank is Yamaha, other bits I thought would blend into style. Was never meant to be a purist bike - my interpretation of a cool looking little bobber - not every bodys ideal  - but I bloody love it.

Yeah Lex, that's my outlook too, no offence to the 'purists', but I managed to keep mine mostly Beeza, except for the F. brake lever, 'n a couple other bits.
Had mine painted similar colour (Bribie Blue) for a while, but changed my mood...
 looks good but hey..!!

 cheers duTch

Lex,
welcome to the forum cobber, will have to consider which side of the ditch we try and match up one day *fight*
Love the bobber too, I'm a bit distracted with my super rocket road bike project at present but hoping to be out at Taupo in April.
You must give us the run down on your motor.

welcome Lex
I kind of agree the building of a special is a lot of fun, maybe that's due to my lack of riding time over the last couple of years - Kitchen - family duties - and so forth.
Anyway enough of my troubles welcome again

On the specials I am about half way thru a cafe racer buid with an A10 motor and Suzuki GS 400 front end with spoke wheels . Only problem is my bikes are in Queensland in my shed and  i am working in Western Australia, about 4000 klms apart. Bugger!
