new to forum, bsa a10

I may need help with dating this a10, will try to load pics???
how would i go on with getting a logbook, what do i need to do

 I think a picture will just show a collection of parts that could be from any time, best post the Frame/engine numbers (hide the last couple digits for security if you like).

Welcome to the forum. When you have A 10, my suggestion is dinner, wine and an action-free movie. A logbook would be a novel idea, but, to each his own. As to what to do -- take your time, think it through, go easy and be prepared to spend a lot of money (the same applies to BSA motorcycles). Of course we look forward to photos.

Hi Supro and welcome to the A7/A10 Forum.

In answer to your question regarding dating your bike and obtaining a logbook the BSA Owners' Club website explains the procedure in detail.

Go to www.bsaownersclub.co.uk and when the home page opens, click on the wheel that says "Machine Registering and Dating".  A chart will appear and if you click on any of the boxes an explanation will appear.  Follow the progress of the chart and all will become clear.

You don't need to be a member of the BSAOC to take advantage of the above.

FYI:- There is a Manchester Branch of the BSAOC where you could obtain practical help and advice with your bike.  Again, information is available by clicking on the appropriate wheel on the home page.

Latest versions of the 'log book' by which I presume we are talking about the V5C Registration Document, state quite boldly on the front: "This document is not proof of ownership".

Confuses me, after all, if it isn't - what should I have that confers this?

A V5, or logbook, is just a registration document. Nowt to do with legal ownership.

 To attach a photo, (or maybe any file), in that boxy looking thing down below this box where it says

"Attach' ,' browse ', 'No file selected'....

 Just hit - sorry click on "Browse' and it opens a boxy thing that says "file upload', which is an option of all the stuff on your device, just go through that and hopefully you'll find what you want to show us

  Well that's what I do, and haven't had any projectiles or threats come my way yet....
