Hello everyone I'm new to this forum and would just introduce myself.
I ride an beautiful old A10 from '58, the swingarm model. I'm totally in love with Britbikes from around the mid 40's till mid 60's. I'm quite new to riding, but I love it and I love working on my bike. And I intend to keep it running for as long as I can!
Other than that I live in Denmark and study philosophy and economics in Copenhagen.

Yeah I can't wait!
I'm getting it out of storage next weekend and getting it prepped for the season.. There's nothing quite like firing it up after the winter, is there? :)

welcome Andreas, as I've said many times this forum is a wealth of knowledge which is shared , just ask  and you'll be surprised how many friends you have  from all round the world . 'erm...  studies in philosophy and economics you'll have a field day with us lot ! Our version of economics is converting whatever we paid for the various parts/jobs down to a  level that  the wife will accept , to remain married  ,its quite a feat ! Enjoy your bike and the forum, best wishes BobH.

It ofter pays to be  philosophical owning, riding and maintaining a A7/10.

Andreas,

Welcome. Looking forward to some photos of your bike once it's recovered from storage, or sooner, if your already have them (you must, considering your love for the bike).

So, I'm guessing Robert Pirsig may be one of your top ten philosphers. However, I am in no position to judge the quality of a philospher, or if a philosopher can even be seen to have "quality" and, if so, can anyone actually be in a position to access that quality. Etc., etc., etc.

Dug out a pic. from one of the dark corners of the pc  *smiley4*

As far as philosophy goes I like the old Greeks and stoics.. And as for economics, I might have made a slight miscalculation going for an old BSA, but then again, I'm supporting a bunch of great old chaps keeping our bikes on the roads, right?!

And maybe you can help me identify something:
It seems to me like either the front end or the tank might have been changed at some point, since it looks like either a RR front or an old school plunger tank - thoughts?

Andreas,
Tank is from '54-'57 swinging arm Flash. Front end could be '58 on Super Rocket.
