Monza Sidecar for sale
« on: 04.01. 2009 20:32 »
I have a monza sidecar I am thinking of selling I had it fitted to my A65 lightning for several years the last bike I had it fitted to was my Plunger A10.
The history of this was that it was Polly Palmers (BSAoc PRO and now a vice president) sidecar that he had fitted to his Rocket Three and dates back to about 1963.The outfit was sold and the chair was removed and then fitted to an A10 belonging to a previous BSAoc editer (Terry Goodwin)who then removed it from the A10 and sold it to me.
The chassis and lower half of the body was  resprayed by myself and the wheel bearings also done. A new mudguard(retro) from Watsonian and screen was also fitted.
I went to several BSAoc camps and open weekends on the A65 outfit and once towed a single bike trailer with a bantam on it when it was the Bantam theme year for the open weekend.
I won the best outfit trophy with it one year and it was highly commended the following year,(not that I am a pot hunter).
It comes with a hood and a tonnau cover which needs a small repair at one of the rear fastners.
I have quite a few fixings which i will sell but seperate to the sidecar.
I am looking for a reasonable amount for this sidecar and would much prefer to offer it to members of this forum first.
Please email me if you are interested

Richard... The sidecar is indeed a very good one and I can remember well seeing the outfit and trailer with Bantam on at BSAOC open day a couple of years back. Nice photo jogs memory... (Hey! there's me in the background!)

Thanks for offering it in another thread but I gotta let this one go for now, other things tugging at the old purse strings.  *sad2*

Cheers

Just an update
I agreed to keep the sidecar until the end of february as it had to be collected from Nottingham I believe, but have not heard anything and I have had no reply to an email I sent to his son in law.
So the sidecar is up for grabs again. I had agreed to take £300 for it without any of the brackets or stays which apart for the A10 ones I was happy to sell as well.
If anyone is interested then let me know it is not advertised anywhere else at the moment but I suppose ebay might be worth while.
I will however need some sort of deposit then I will gladly keep it garaged until it can be collected

Is the sidecar still available, if so how much for A10 brackets as well? and would they fit a 57 A10?
