Five speed

I was looking to install a five speed gear cluster in the BSA box.  I have heard that a five speed triumph cluster can be made to fit the box.  Has anyone done this?

Hi,
Yes it can be done if you have access to very good engineering facilities,
The resulting 5 speeder will not have a speedo drive though

If you are building a special its a lot easier to convert a pre unit Triumph box to 5 speed

Dont forget that the Triumph 5-speed is basically a close ratio box with 5 gears in the same range as the 4-speed. Great if you're after close ratios, but no good if you want lower cruising rpms.
That Nova stuff looks interesting though.

First is lower in the five speed, than in the Triumph four speed.

"Relaxed cruising" at lower rpm, is a chimaera.

The TT industries box is a complete modern replacement box, all current technology and popular with the racing set that have deep pockets, doing 5 and 6 speed, but I believe no speedo drive (??)
The Nova is a set of internals, so more cost effective.
