Now that I think of it, if I had offered him $400 to cancel, the shipping would have been free.

Just how did you guys put a man on the moon *????* *smiley4*

Not "a" man, 12 men. Yes, I did have to look it up, but I was having trouble finding how many GB have put there.

Most if not all of the present government seem to have come from there  ;)

They had help, my immediate boss at Dunlop had worked at NASA on Apollo

now that's something to have on your CV (mind he might have just fitted tyres to the moon buggy *smiley4*)

Not quite from the moon, but the A7 has arrived at my house. Best find, thus far, frame number is year-correct with the engine.  Eventually I'll confirm the pedigree with BSAOC. This bike really does give the impression of being mostly original but suffering some bumps, bruises and wierd modifications along the way. A few diappointing things, but nothing insurmountable: the mag does not spark when hand turned (no big deal), the rear mudguard was at one time bobbed-off then poorly welded back on, there is an ugly brazing repair to the rear hub sprocket, the engine is siezed. One thing about the engine being siezed, my gut feeling is that it was never loved enough to bother rebuilding and maybe this could mean lots left on crank and in bores for grinding and boring.

Oh, the surprises ahead. One other surprise: the wife is pushing for a full restoration.

Better get the computer into the shed, that's where you'll be over winter. Our wives must be related, mine is fully supportive when it comes to the BSA's. She recons it better me in the shed than consorting at the pub.
Good luck with it.

That repair on the rear sprocket is a real corker. Someone got their moneys worth out of that one.

I just realized, it's kind'a wierd not always going to eBay to see if I can find an available project.
