« on: 23.07. 2013 08:16 »
Hi, does anybody here in the UK have a spare good condition plunger A7 /A10 primary chain tensioner, BSA part number 67-1261, that I could purchase from them? Cheers, John

Hi Vincent, thanks for the offer. I am sure I can find one here in the UK at the auto-jumbles (swap-meets). I was surprised that nobody on the forum in the UK has responded but I was just trying to save time hunting for one.
It is not desperate as the bike has one in, I just wanted to do the mod to a spare one that Muskrat talked about in the listing www.a7a10.net/forum/index.php?topic=4362.0 as she is rather noisy from the primary chain area.
Did you get your chain guard and 48 engine plate sorted?
Cheers, John

Hi John,
I have a worn one too that I plan to try the mod, there's a Teflon cutting board in the kitchen cupboard that I'm sure the wife will soon be asking me "did you see the
white cutting board??"
Uh, no dear, haven't seen it in a while, what cutting board??
No replies on the engine plate or chainguard, still looking though. Bike on the back burner...
Right now trying to raise funds to buy a one-owner 1953 Golden Flash! (actually two owner, but I know the history of the bike right back to the original owner. I met him about 1986 but didn't want to sell it then, instead his wife gave it to his neighbor when the old guy developed dementia. I just recently relocated the bike, and the current owner is willing to sell, if his expenses are covered.. which is where I hopefully come in!
Cheers, Vincent
