Hi there, nice posts here. With the important oil in cylinder discussion, I'm moving this to the engine dept.,
And edited main title, to reflect actual topic content. Always difficult to deal with topics with several embedded sub-topics! (to chicago, I = admin, a10gf is just the 'normal user' \ moderator ID).

Its a great bit of technology. Though I wonder whether its a bit too much knowlege. If its not really smoking, and you're not losing oil would you have worried if you hadn't known there was a little oil in the cylinders?
Thousands of A's are probably running like that but we just dont know. I guess what i am saying is we actually have to get a large sample of endoscope-observed cylinders before we know what is normal. gav

Mine got endoscoped a couple of years ago and everthing looked OK, but don't know about the bike.

With 7.25:1 pistons, my A10's will read between 140 psi - 150 psi range.

When you did the compression test, did you hold the throttle open?

This reading should give a 10:1 compression???
At least according to the formula I've been told to use (PSI/14.50).
Maybe poking up the wrong hole here *smile*, so if anyone can confirm/deny?
