Bugga, not a ferret to be seen. I like the Fordson with tracks. Gav should have been there.
Which bike is yours? A grey frame lightning just like my first BSA, beautiful.
2PM and your home already!!

Hi Wozza & Musky,

Good photos Wozza, lovely bikes, I'm going to have to get a life and go to some rallies!

Tractor photos 1 & 3 are a version of the tractor in my avatar (Field Marshall), series C maybe (memory, age thing!), they came in bright orange not green.

Are you a ferret owner Musky? (or am I missing something?) We have always had pet ferrets since the kids were tiny, we love them, they are the best pets!

gav.

Great photos. Thanks for posting. I also zeroed in on th Fordson with tracks. I owned a '28 Fordson in '70, but not like that. For the life of me, I've never been able to remember what became of it. (Here comes the '60's jokes!)

That Fordson is "very suspect" huh2?

Nope could well be genuine, if the badge on the front is original then it's got a Perkins 6 cylinder engine, some of the old guys here (UK) used to talk of such a beast, apparently a powerful tractor of it's day, not sure if Fordson put it out that way or if it was a smaller firm modification.

Thanks for posting WozzA I enjoyed it, first time I've seen so many tractors and can't say I'd driven any of them

there a bit like our As, variations made to perform in differing conditions.

Don't know if I'll get back in a seat, seems like my ex employer has found ways of not needing me, however I'll take a little bit of license and show you myself and what I finished up driving after coming up through the ford and Fergies of the fifty/sixties and onwards

Clearly Tractor pulls have changed a lot since I left the my home state  *eek* They were usually combined with trials bike clubs weekend gatherings. The successful "tractors" had one or more V8s shoehorned into a frame that was loosely based on a tractor and had to tow a weighted trailer that slowly dug itself into the ground.
Must admit to missing good gatherings not too far from home. Great photos and good to see the old machines getting out and about.
