A pity, the single seat looks so much better.

I have a good seat base, it came with my 1954 swinging arm but was not fitted. It does not look right for mine as the front turns up towards the tank. I can send pictures ??

Colin,

I'm looking for an early swing-arm seat on an original pan, but a bit concerned about the post from the UK. Would you mind posting pictures, top and bottom?

Tumbleweed,

Colin's seat base is probably the one you are looking for.  The one for the plunger models (single cylinder at least) looks as though somebody too heavy has sat on it.  The front part has a distinct delve in it and curves up abruptly towards the fuel tank.

The swinging arm type seat base is reasonably flat in comparison.

Tumbleweed,

I think maybe this is what you are looking for.  If not it's something very similar.

Some member of this forum with a plunger A7 or A10 might be able to confirm (or not).

I believe that the rear mounts of this particular one have been modified to suit another bike.
