Hello, seems there has been zero problems with it, but just to make a few things clear about who have access to members email, and how to set the options.
The email (used for registering) is stored in the member database, and while registering one is given the option to 'Hide email address from public'. In practice:
- It will always be accessible to the forum admins.
- The guest visitors (and google, yahoo etc) do not see the member list, nor the email.
- For forum members, other members email address will be accessible if 'Hide email address from public' is not ticked. In practice, the word 'public' means 'public among other forum members'. To hide the email for everyone (except admins), tick 'Hide email address from public' in 'Modify Profile'.
- You may change the email address at any time.
