Wanted: Dynamo for A10 Plunger 54'
« on: 07.01. 2013 07:44 »
Hi There...again :)

I'm looking for a dynamo for my Bsa A10 GF Plunger 54 '.
Hope someone can help :)

I bought a project for just over 2 years ago and worked on it from time to time.
It has now been a long journey with parts from people who have not been completely honest and other things that have gone slightly wrong. In fact, it is one of the few things that were positive was when I bought a crank by a friendly man here from the forum. after all there are some honest people to find :)
I'll try to create a thread in here with my project which now has some momentum and is in a good phase, hope you will follow :)

Here is my project, so far - http://www.a7a10.net/forum/index.php/topic,6558.0.html

A10 and A7 dynamos are the most common for sale on ebay.

Not many complete E3L's (but always tons of spares and rebuild kits available), here's one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BSA-Triumph-Ariel-Enfield-Lucas-dynamo-E3L-/350686486311
(ships to UK only, but you could arrange shipping to a helping UK member, who reships it).

Yeah I can see that there at a lot of spares for such dynamos, and complete dynamos are very few :(

Thanks for the one you have linked to, I am now "watching" it :) And good point about reshipping, havent thought of that :)

You could also look at something like...

Perhaps not more expensive in the long run.

Hi Soren, this guy is a dynamo specialist ,always advertising in BSAOC mag and could have what you want , maybe worth the cost of an e-mail or better a call , very helpful when I spoke to him, name Paul Dunn 01782856839, e-mail dynamodunn@gmail.com. I've no connection with him Soren but I have just rung him and He's told me he will ship to Denmark and going rate for a full refurbed dynamo is £198 depending on year but probably "off the shelf "just has helpful has I remembered ,incidently He told me he ships worldwide and have heard anything adverse about him and his dealings. Hope it helps best of luck with your quest . BobH.

Yeah :) in a perfect, bsa homebuilder world, that would be my first choice :) Would love one of those :)

@Topdad

Thank you so much for taking the time to call the guy, have never been on a forum where some many people are willing to help out that much.
Really appreciate it!!
I have taken a look at his website, and will definitely send him a mail about one of his dynamos.

Again thxs alot!
