I got a pair from e-bay that were for a Morris Minor in stainless. Very good, BUT while washing the bike I sliced my finger wide open on the front edge of it. I swear you could have shaved with it. I rubbed it down with some wet and dry to take the edge off.

Not a fan of anything sharp on the bike, just imagine if you collected a pedestrian. Could be very nasty, the same goes for bacon slicer front number plates, terrible things. Might be nice to have one saying "BSA 195x Flash" etc but not when it opens someone up in an accident. Might as well fit bayonets to the front *eek*
On racing sidecars a while back they made carrying fire extinguishers mandatory until one came loose and went flying at pace. Thankfully sense was seen and this safety rule was rescinded by the authorities.

I have had a pedestrian step out in front of me, ended up a leg on each side of the front wheel and hands on my headlight, eyes wide open and white as a sheet, scared the bejesus out of me and was almost very nasty.
A good rider periodically checks all nuts and bolts with a spanner to see that they are tight - Instruction Manual for BSA B series, p46, para 2.
