Hi Rudolf... I would have thought it would be quite acceptable to make up your own with the correct thickness of tubing it would not be a difficult job to do.

Thanks L.J.,
may be a really easy job to do this, but is it even advisable to install these links? I own a '48 long stroke, the picture shows a '49 engine. Was it an real improvement? They are gone in the later engine generation.

Hi Rudolf... I think these engine stabilisers are necessary as I do not know how badly the engine suffers without them. The models after 1949 I believe, have the stabilisers on top of the rocker boxes, I know the later A10s do. I am guessing that the engine would suffer 'some' vibration without these links... and in any case the links do not 'look' badly out of place.

Let me know if you want measurements and I can post them here for you if you wish to make up your own.  *smile*

Hello LJ,

the vibration of the engine is not so bad. So I've not missed the head steady. I only saw it recently in a old documentation. My frame has already the eye to fix the bars. Maybe they has been removed by a previous owner.

A dimension sheet for rebuilding would be great, especially the thickness and diameter of the bars (tubes?)

Thanks again,

Rudolf

In the meantime I had the time to build and fix the bars, testing follows if it's a little bit warmer.
