Spotted this rather interesting use of an A10 motor at Stafford Classic Bike Show yesterday.

I am constantly stunned by the brilliant imagination and technical expertise of all you fellows. Considering my own snailpace rebuild, a bit humbling really !!!

The Sunbeam was a fore-aft twin, so the A10 motor turned sideways would have "only" needed the drive side crank end modified from sprocket drive to gear drive, to fit the preexisting sunbeam fore-aft gearing and shaft final drive (I say only, because the engine case mods must have been pretty tricky!) gav

i was also impresed by th "V50" guzzi engine in the one next to it.
only 2 things needed in life wd40 and duck tape....if it moves and shouldn`t use tape if it don`t move and should use wd40.

From what I've heard of them (and an S7 is pretty much the top of my must have list) swapping the engine out and leaving the rear drive box on is getting things completely the wrong way around.

Warning - observations made by this member have a 93% unreliability rating.

Hi All,
I suppose with the Guzzi engine you could also use the Guzzi gearbox??
I have seen a Rat Sunbeam with a VW *eek*1200 engine fitted

Cant see the point of all this especially using up a good BSA engine *conf*

Cheers
