Wanted Pair of front fork sliders for 1958 S/A "Shooting Star" .

Part nunbers are 42 - 5076 & 42 - 5078 these are the fork bottoms with lugs front & back for mudguard stays , they are the type to accept full width cast Iron wheels & therefore have removable bottom caps .

What do you have? problem is these are all fifty + years old and well shagged  
If you can find some shitty rusty ones the parts can readily be recycled into new ones, ideally with damper rods!
I'm using new ones on my racer and have just had these done for my super rocket - using hydraulic pipe so making new bushes to suit. But if you havent got donors this aint gonna help you

These are the exact fork sliders Im looking for ?
seperate bottom caps , lugs front & back for mudguard stays & welded on lugs to carry the mudguard bridge stay at the top .

Thanks Billy but they arent the right type .
The ones I need are the same as the picture ..

They have removable bottom caps .
Mudguard lugs back & front & top mudguard stays as the ones in the picture for the mudguard brace .
Same as the picture posted .
Very similar to the pair on Ebay but with removable bottom caps .
The type posted by MB-Transits are the type I Require .
I am still looking ,

Does Anyone know if the same sliders were used on the 8" front wheel as on the 7" ? Just wondering if the lug which locates in the brake plate is in the sam position on both types ?

Hi Stephen,
The eight inch single sided hub uses a torque stay which goes back up onto the two bolts that also hold the mudguard centre stay , the same idea is used on the Ariel hubs
So the eight will fit instead of the seven which uses the peg in the lug

Thanks John ..I may not have phrased My question clearly !
The fork sliders need to be of the type explained ..in 1959 the A range had 8" cast iron full width hubs at the front end ...however the STANDARD A7 only had a 7" front cast iron hub .

My query is this .. were the same fork sliders used right across the range ?
As one model had a smaller hub is the same slider still used across the A range ?

I ask the question as I cannot work out how the lesser diameter brake plate located upon the lug on the slider if
the same part locates the 8" version .
I can only find the part numbers in My original post & I need to be certain I buy the correct ones .

Apologies for going round the houses but I couldnt explain it any more clearly ?

Hi Steve,
Apologies, I forgot the original request !!!!!!!
My parts book (After GA7 101) only shows one part for A7 and A10
the ones shown in MB T's picture are described as "American type"
the "normal" ones shown are part no's 42-5141 and 42-5142, these have two studs for the centre stay rather than the brazed on bracket
