longstroke copper gaskets
« on: 03.09. 2012 09:33 »
Hi all, just to let you know that solid copper gaskets for the longstroke motors are now available from Lani at Gaskets Unlimited in Arizona. He also has the programe/patterns for the rocker cover gaskets and while i have fitted these i have yet to see how effective they are. I will do a post when ive run the motor for a bit and had time to assess them. Regards, Ben

Thanks for the "heads up" Ben , I have a set of S/A A10 rocker gaskets from this source & they are first class on the advice of "Muskrat" , assume He manufactures rocker gaskets & presumably head gasket for long stroke A7 "Star Twin" ?

Wonder which other gaskets He offers & are they all copper ?
Quality seems very high .

 G'day Steve, Benet.
He's a top bloke Lani. Send him a sample or drawing and he can make it. He does charge a small fee for re-programing, I can't remember how much, but once done it's in his files. He does modified head gaskets for me.

hi Steve, i don't know what the difference between your longstroke star twin is and mine, eng # ZA7 8280, but mine has a two part rocker cover and i assume (this can be dangerous) that if yours is also two parts it will have the same profile as mine. I also presume that the head gaskets on all the longstrokes are the same but it would pay to get confirmation on that. As mentioned in previous posts you need to specify what thickness you want.
