Outbox
« on: 22.08. 2012 19:46 »
I just sent a PM and wondered why it's not shown in my outbox. I then noticed that I should have ticked a box to say I want to keep a copy *sad2* I always want to keep a copy so is there a way to make this my default setting? Also, why is it called "outbox" and not "sent items"? On most forum sites messages only stay in the outbox until they are received and read, whereupon they are automatically transferred to a sent items folder.

In Profile > Personal Message Options tick 'Save a copy' then click Change profile. Then it will (should) stick.

Outbox, no idea why they named it so, must ask the guys who made the software.
Just look upon it as a box for messages that went Out.

No, a message copy gets saved in the outbox only after being sent (if the sender has chosen to keep a copy).

Original question was about the forum Personal Messages settings.

Regarding Thunderbird email settings:
Tools > Account Settings > Copies & Folders tick 'Place a copy in'.
Do this for all the accounts.

Hoping this is useful, have a fine day.
