On the road again
« on: 14.06. 2012 20:16 »
Finally got the A10 wearing a current license plate and all nice and legal, I have 10 days to get it inspected by the DMV. It's only been since 1970, I guess that's not too long  *smile*. Future improvements in the works - belt drive for the dynamo, a chain guard, and I am really thinking about turn indicators, I don't think people know what hand signals mean anymore. They probably think I'm flipping them off. Thanks to all the folks who helped out with advice along the way! Don't go anywhere, I'm sure I'll need much more!

Happy to oblige with pics! The Utah plate is ancient history, stuck it on just for fun. It's been so long since I've really ridden this I keep trying to shift gears with the brake pedal!

looks great! ferget the turn signals. ya think you got trouble with those arm signals, try it in mexico where a left hand arm signal or flasher can also mean [go around me]-jeje!

second try at this one, first one apparently gobbled up in cyberspace. It is now off the road again! Went to get the safety inspection and found an error in the registration so no inspection sticker! I have owned this bike since I bought it in 1966 and there has been one wrong digit in the serial number in the paperwork all that time. Somehow a 7 was mistaken for a 1 and it was never discovered until yesterday! So tomorrow early it is off to the DMV in hopes they all had wonderful weekends and are feeling happy and merciful and this can all be straightened out on paper. Oh well. it's an excuse to lubricate cables and check everything for tightness and whatever else I can think of!
