Anji,
Great to hear from you. Your tour is still on my bucket list, though, I must admit, kicking it (the bucket, that is) might have to come first.

Pedro,
Check out Anji's website at http://www.ventureonwheels.in/ . I am going to say that Anji has been very modest in the area of self promotion, maybe too modest.

Phoenix, Arizona.  By now, even most of the die-hard riders around here have parked their bikes in the garage for the next couple of months in favor of the air conditioned family car.  When it's 115 (46 C for most of the rest of the world), sitting with a hot motorcycle engine between your legs just isn't as much fun as it should be.  The old joke goes: "But it's a dry heat".  "Right.  Just like the inside of your oven!".

Anji,

"Venture" or "Dare"? That's beautiful rugid ground. Seems like there might be a few less stop signs and lights than driving around Chicago suburbs.

Hi all.

Just musing on a monday afternoon as ya do and thought I would add my two-pennorth.
Originally from the U.K. but settled now into the French rural life, Charente, SW.
Great roads around here, virtually no traffic, the odd 2cv with a happy (read Drunk) frenchie behind the wheel.
Good wine and dirt cheap.
Got a good stock of BSA and Triumph stuff which has been collected over the years, use to be in the trade. So if anyone down here gets stuck, give us a shout.

Regards Chris.

So, anyone redoing their garden can get dirt cheap?

Here's what my alter-ego does: Ship my bike to Europe (for these purposes, let's call the UK part of Europe), explore the faraway corners, visit forum members, replace parts as I go. Then, on to India, Austrailia, ........etc. Then, kick the bucket.

It's probably a good thing I don't let him out.

Hi Andy

The photos posted are on the back roads of Himachal, & yes probably the same roads you biked on. When did you last ride here

You need to come again. The wife & kids can sit in the support vehicle which accompanies the safari & can take it in turns to ride pillion.

Take care
Anji
