G'day Amri,
it's not a ZB31 frame so I would say it's been re-stamped. Have a close look at the spot where my number is. It may have been filled over with putty. What does your registration papers say? Bit of a mystery, with your engine numbers changed as well!
Cheers

Hiya Rami,
If I didn't already say, I like the style of your bike, it would be good on some of those roads you have there.

*idea* Maybe previous owner decided he wanted a 'B31' and stamped it so- 'I hereby pronounce thee, a B31' ?  *conf*

Isn't the timing cover for a Long stroke more flat/horizontal  on the Genny chain cover section??

 Catch you soon, duTch

G'day Amri, looks like a short stroke A7 of 1954 or later (big fin).
Can I come over and register a few dodgy ones too.  *smile*
Dutch, the LS has a screw at the bottom of the "Y"

Dodgy means if I brought over a Honda XR frame with a Yamaha 1000 motor and called it a Bultaco persang it'd get passed?
Not 100% on the frame age but the front end would have to be mid 40's.
Dutch pic of LS "Y" attached.

Amri,(and any other plunger/rigid owners), do you have a date stamped into crankcase/chaincase- as per photos(blurry, but give the idea)?

Muskrat, Thanks for the pic, it's a definitive ID point, but still doesn't answer my query ie ; is the cover a slightly different shape, in that, is the angle between 'Idler-genny axis/Idler-Maggie axis more obtuse, making Idler-genny axis/crank-idler axis more acute(smaller radius underside of cover- front of 'piled arms') ie different gasket?
It's really not important, but just am curious as years ago I saw some and assumed to be A7 before I knew about long/short stroke, and it may just be an optical illusion??
