New Member from Brisbane Australia
« on: 06.05. 2012 10:43 »
Hi,

Just wanted to have an quick hello and introduce myself.

My name is tom and I live in the northern suburbs of Brisbane, Australia.

I'm starting my first restoration of 1949 A7. Frame - ZA7R/1824  Engine - ZA7/3861.

Is anyone locally going to the swap meeting in June in Albany Creek at the Pony Club?  Or know of any other swap meets?

tom

G'day Tom, you're streets ahead of me, I started the intro thing ages ago but connection went west and I never got to do it properly despite assurances.....

I'm officially a Sunny Coaster, but spend most time in Brisvagus, for work and stuff.
Didn't know about A. Creek but will try and get along, good venue- just may find some rockin'orse droppings *eek*.

A cane toad is someone from Queensland Australia best place in the world. They introduce cane toads into Queensland to eat the sugar cane beetle but cane toads have taken over the place and they are an absolute pest now. They are good though for people that want to practice their golf swing.

I don't think Tasmanians have a nick name. But there easy to spot with either two heads or the scar where the pretty one was cut off. *fight*

Hi Dutch:

The Pine Rivers Swap is the one I was speaking about.  I believe I read somewhere that the Pony Club is a change of venue from previous years.
