Broadford Bike Bonanza
« on: 07.04. 2012 10:13 »
I took a run up to the Bike BONANZA at the STATE Motorcycle Complex @ Broadford today...
For those who are wondering the COMPLEX has Motorcross... Speedway.. & Road Race circuits... & a Swap meet area..   situated some 80Kms North of Melbourne nestled among the rolling hills of the Great Dividing Ranges...
Also on display were 30 or so Indian motorcycles dating back from 1902..
If you ever get the chance to be in Melbourne at EASTER time this is the place to be..
I took over 200 pictures, here are just a few ( 70 ) I found interesting in slide show format....   enjoy...

A few of us rode up yesterday and all were impressed with the Broadford Bike Bonanza, there was something for everybody. I liked seeing the bikes riding the track in a non competitive way *eek* All were over 25 years and it gives the racers some practice and the non racers a blast around the course. I took a few photos but mostly similar to Wozza's bucket of photos. Here's one he didn't get, my A65T getting it's seat polished at AJ's caff on the way there.  *smile* Cheers TC

G'day Muskrat, Doug has built another BSA special, 1/ Empire twin (pre war) 2/ B66 (post war) 3/ V twin Track bike (If BSA were still going today). Doug is talented and very motivated.  He also built a Veteran motorcycle after finding a Hockley engine. I will get a better shot of the Track bike ASAP Cheers TC
