I am also an ignoramus on classic bikes, but have learned much in my short spell on this excellent forum.  Indeed a huge thanks to its contributors.

I couldn't agree more. I also am new to the site and have found it a great help. Seems like a really nice bunch of folks. I'm hoping to someday take a trip to Australia and parts of Europe. When the day comes, I look forward to hopefully meet some of them in person. Guiness will do fine, but please don't expect me to drink Foster's!

Been on this site now for quite a while now and although I haven't posted for some time, until recently, I really do appreciate it I think that a10gf was one of the first I contacted years ago.
All the very best TTJohn

My bike would not have been going (its having some minor engine surgery at the moment) had it not been for this site and all the members out there around the world, many of whom are up and awake just when I'm stuck on something,
thank you !

Absolutely priceless, the generosity and knowledge of this forum’s members is astounding.
I’ve only been here a couple of months but already received huge support and excellent advice on several occasions. Enough to feel confident to tackle all the issues I’ve asked about. Like I say, priceless!
I’ve been a member of a couple of forums previously, (different bikes and a van), all of them had been great to begin with but over time deteriorated into petty, one-up-man-ship, bitchy p**s taking, and cliquey exclusivities.
I’m convinced that this place is different, maybe because most of us are older, or at least appreciate “old ways” and have similarly older values which seem to have been forgotten in this modern world.
Well done to all you lovely people. Big thanks.

G'day Minto.
I think I can speak for everyone here and say "Your more than welcome".
One day you may be able to help someone else with the knowledge you gained here on the forum.
Cheers

Extra thank-you's

I'm not sure I said this loud enough:

THANK YOU TO EVERYBODY HERE WHO GAVE ME ADVICE AND PARTS DURING MY ENGINE TROUBLES OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS.

I'm sure it was frustrating to offer advice that sometimes didn't seem to be acted on. Sorry!

I hope I can help other people in some small way, even if it's just to lift spirits. Love you guys!

(adm edit, merged with the original 'thank you' to avoid a possible second thread)

Its not only newbies that benefit from this forum some of us have been "playing" with A10's for years and can build them in our sleep but we still look to this place for advice and for a different perspective. I love the place just chatting to others who have the same interests as me makes it 100% worthwhile  *smile*

The name Stephen Foster reminds me of 'the father of american music'. He wrote Old Black Joe (among many other well-known songs). OBJ is one of my favourites.
