dvr 2 12v

hi all my mate is round with his a10 57 flash, he put a new dvr2 on last night and now has no charge ,its 12v poss earth with magneto,  looking at the wiring we have  GREEN TO FIELD---YELLOW TO DYNAMO---WHITE NOT CONECTED---BROWN TO AMMETER   now what i think may be wrong is he has cut the brown wire and conected it to the dvr2 ,should this wire also go to the neg post on battery----poss earth bike ,dont want to try without contacting forum first, thank you mal.

Tell your mate he should have read the instructions that came with the DVR2.

Green to Field
Yellow to Dynamo
Red lead to Earth
White lead not connected
Brown to ammeter

If he has connected the brown lead to the unit he has earthed the main output wire and may have damaged the unit.

thank you now sorted i was right brown also to battery , now all ok
