Well I didn't expect that. Just removed the primary drive cover and half a cupful of oil came out. Thing is, it's got a NEB engieering belt drive conversion. I was under the impression the chain case should now be dry!! Although saying that, the reason I am dismantling is a severe oil leak from the gearbox final drive. Didn't think it would leak into the chain case though.
Wondering if someone could help me out. Has anyone got the installation instructions for the NEB engineering belt drive they could send me? Would be much appreciated. (That's if such a thing exists).
Also whilst the chain case is off is it an easy job to replace the engine main bearing oil seal? Might as well do that whilst its in pieces?
I have read the Haynes book of lies and it states its best to get the 61-3362 clutch sleeve extractor. is this good advice?
