2x 1954 golden flash
« on: 30.12. 2011 14:24 »
Hi Guys,
i am a new member to the forum ,but i am a member of the BSA  owners club great Britain. I am 75 yrs old and have owned many Beezas, the first being a 1936 150 4 stroke and. On my return from Africa 1976 i bought a stripped but complete 1962 RGS £200,sold it a few months later for £600!!!!,if only comes to mind. Today i own a swing arm and a plunger, both 1954 and with original transferable numbers. During my ARMY service i rode the M20, shaky yes ,but i would like one now ,even its just to sit in my garage to look at,
                           Best Regards,
                                Gordon Allenby.

Two very fine looking bikes there Gordon! and welcome along to our forum. An M20 is nice as well, much lighter and lower than the A10s I love riding my M21 which is very similar to the M20 as you'll no doubt know. I look forward to reading your posts...

Thank you,
I have enclosed a pic of my LATE A65 ,my son bought me for my 75th ,but sadly i lost it in a garage fire before i had time to ride it.I don,t think it compared to the A10,but it was a lovely bike.I have quite a few spares if anyone is building one,
                         Regards,

Welcome to the forum Gordon.
Two very nice bikes.
I may be able to help with the m20.
A friend of mine has a very low mileage very original & complete 1939 M20 that has not turned a wheel for the last 50 years. I will call and see if he is interested in parting with it. I am in sheffield UK Where are you.
I have a 1955 golden flash taxed &MOT,d and a 1950? golden flash plunger project if you have anything that can help me.

Perhaps we have separated ourselves from the rest by our choice of and dedication to our A7 and A10 motorcycles. While that may be true, we really need to thank our Administrator and L.J., our moderator. They continue to do stalwart yeoman duty through the years.

Hey,  did I mention,  "Great bikes, Gordon.  I'll try not leave too much envy-green on the forum newsprint."

Now, wandering back to the quality of the forum, Erling's modesty is honorable, but without his efforts this forum would have many "members" (no pun intended) who had identified our age demographic and  were now trying to sell us products that did more than just keep our bikes upright.  *smile*
