Hi all,
Picked up my BSA A10 Super Rocket a week ago last Sunday, Second time wanted to go out on it, Wouldn't start!!!. Its now in bits in the garage. Oh joy...
Think I've sussed it though. No spark due to faulty electronic ignition.
But bang goes the ride outs over the Xmas holidays!
Merry Xmas and Happy new year to all!

Welcome Darren
Sorry to hear it won't start, but it did start previously, what make of electronic ignition does it have as some of the older type require a pretty full battery to work.
Try charging up the battery and see if it makes any odds.
All the best - Bill

Hello & welcome, nice bike, & am hoping you will find all the help you may need.

This board is for bike & member presentation, better to post support questions in the Technical boards (for ignition problems, post in Lucas, Electrical, Ignition).

Hi Darren and welcome to the forum.

Nice looking bike.

On the plus side, at least you have found the problem and it will probably be a lot quicker and cheaper to fix than a duff mag. Perhaps, as Bill says, all you need to do is give the battery a good charge.

On the negative side, the whole world seems to have shut down for two weeks for Christmas (Bah humbug!!) so the chances of getting a new electronic ignition system before well into the new year are zilch. There are many topics on the forum covering the many types of ignition systems if you do need to replace it.

Whereabouts are you based?

Thanks for the replies everyone. After eight hours of head scratching found the culprit. One of the HT lookalike connections had wound itself loose and let water in from when i trailered it home. a quick blowing out of the water and some battery connection paste later, all that was needed was a tightening of the screw threads. dead easy when you find it.  *problem*
