1953 A10 Plunger For Sale
« on: 23.11. 2011 05:06 »
I recently built another plunger A10 so have decided to sell my original one. Obviously this will only be of interest to Australian members or visitors.

Its a 53' model in very good running order and currently on full S Aust rego. It starts, runs and rides as they should and everything works properly. Its reasonably original but has a few "ring in's", has a concentric carby instead of a 276 for instance.

Over all very tidy condition although not a show bike. I put new main bearings, including the timing side bush, in it about 1500 miles ago. At the same time I put new big end shells, rings and gave it a valve grind.

I'm looking for close to $7,000 for it. The money from this will pay for my latest project, I went across to the "dark side". It starts with a T and was built in 1909.

I will consider a BSA "trade in" if you have something.

SOLD

G'day Brian,
That's a good looking bike, we're sitting pretty close to each other on Just Bikes.
That seems a pretty fair price for that one, should get some action once the
mag. hits the racks for Dec.

regards, cus

That is Josh's bike.

He was a very active member of this forum, and his restoration is documented over many posts.
A very nice bike done to a high standard; rides as good as it looks.

Hope it's all there Brian. Getting bits will be a chore.

Morning Cus,
yes the ad in Just Bikes did it. I had two people call and the first one that got the photos bought it.

The bike market is very depressed at the moment, there are a lot of good bikes for sale but they just are not selling. Not sure if its because its just before Xmas or the financial stuff destroying peoples super.

I am also going to sell my 51' A7 but I may not advertise that until after xmas. I will still have 4 A's so its not too bad.

See Brian once your mind gets polluted with that Triumph you start selling BSAs. You'll have to get some treatment before its too late.

No need to worry Terry, the A7 will be replaced with another BSA. I'm after a swingarm B33.

I would have preffered a veteran BSA but when you get into that really old stuff you have to take what comes along. The one I bought was not far from me and the price was right.

It looks very good, Brian.A shame it doesn't need restoring!
That seat cover has to go, though.
